Sinemet
Sinemet is a medication that is used to treat symptoms of Parkinson's disease. It is a combination of carbidopa and levodopa. More serious side effects include hallucinations, fainting, irregular heartbeat, and uncontrolled movements of the body. Sinemet can interact with other medications, so it is important to tell your doctor about all the medications you are taking, including over-the-counter medications, vitamins, and supplements. You should also let your doctor know if you have any medical conditions, including heart disease, kidney disease, or liver disease.
You should not take Sinemet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. You should also not take Sinemet if you are taking any MAO inhibitors. MAO inhibitors include isocarboxazid, linezolid, methylene blue, moclobemide, phenelzine, procarbazine, rasagiline, selegiline, tranylcypromine, and others.
