Atorlip-20 (atorvastatin) is a prescription medicine used to treat high cholesterol. This drug may be used alone or with other cholesterol-lowering medicines. Atorlip-20 belongs to a class of drugs called statins. Statins work by reducing the amount of cholesterol made by the liver. This lowers "bad" cholesterol (LDL) and triglycerides in the blood, and raises "good" cholesterol (HDL).

High cholesterol can lead to hardening of the arteries (atherosclerosis), which can lead to heart attack, stroke, or other serious health problems.

Atorlip-20 is available in brand-name and generic versions. Generic atorvastatin is covered by most Medicare and insurance plans, but some pharmacy coupons or cash prices may be lower. Brand-name Atorlip-20 is not currently available in generic form.
