Flomax (generic name: tamsulosin) is an alpha-blocker that is used to treat the symptoms of an enlarged prostate. The drug works by relaxing the muscles in the prostate and bladder neck, making it easier to urinate. Flomax is generally well-tolerated and side effects are rare.
